The FERM POWER TOOLS rally team, which consists of Dennis Kuipers and his father Rene, became the first private team to run the new Fiesta World Rally Car. Dennis has used an M-Sport ran car on all the events he has competed in the WRC this year, but his father Rene until now has used the Fiesta S2000.

Just 1 week before Greece the Dom Buckley Motorsport mechanics finished the teams new WRC Fiesta at the M – Sport premises in Cumbria. The car then left for Greece to carry out a shakedown test the weekend before the event. The test went well as did the event.

Dennis, in the M – Sport ran Fiesta WRC finished 10th overall. Rene in the second Ferm Power Tools Fiesta WRC ran under the Ipatec banner, with support from Dom Buckley Motorsport finished a creditable 17th overall. Rene’s car ran without any major issues on what was a very demanding Acropolis rally.

The next outing for the Ferm Power Tools rally team is Rally Estonia where the team will use a Fiesta S2000 and a Ford Focus 06 WRC, followed by the Nestle Rally Finland where they will return to the Fiesta WRCs.
